Brake Repair & Replacement Birmingham
We all know how important the brakes are and how much potential danger can arise from not keeping them in good condition. If your vehicle is experiencing any early signs of brake problems, bring it down to MTC Service Centre, where our team of trained mechanics can get your brakes back into top condition in no time. You can book your Brake Repair or Replacement using our Contact Form, or give us a call on 0121 439 8958.
Over time, your brakes will deteriorate through general wear and tear. Like many other systems in your vehicle, you should get regular maintenance to ensure they are working correctly for your safety and the safety of other road users. If you have begun to lose confidence in your brakes, please book in with us as soon as possible.
Here are our top signs that you may need brake replacements:
- Grinding or Squeaking sounds
- Pulsating when you apply the brakes
- Pulling to one side when braking
- Spongy or unresponsive braking
- Soft pedal or pedal goes to the floor
- Dashboard warning light
- Old brake fluid (Should be changed every two years)
Your driving style often affects how often your brakes need servicing. If you typically make a lot of Motorway mileage or long journeys, your brake pads will last a lot longer than stop-start city centre driving. As a general rule of thumb, if your brake pads have worn down to a thickness of 3 millimetres – they will need to be replaced. It would be best if you have your brake fluid changed every two years, or follow your car manufacturer’s recommendations.
